Asiana Airlines Celebrate Ernie Els’ historic win at the Open Championship with an Exclusive listing of the Ernie Els Proprietor’s Syrah for In-flight Duty Free Sales.

Diverse Flavours is pleased to announce that Asiana Airlines have listed the Ernie Els Proprietor’s Syrah 2010 as part of its In-flight duty free sales program.

Recognising Ernie’s passion for golf and wine, Asiana have timed this launch perfectly, given Ernie’s famous win at the Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s in July – his fourth major title.

The Ernie Els Proprietor’s Syrah 2010

The 2010 Syrah which is produced from only the best hand picked grapes from this Stellenbosch vineyard has a dense, pitch-black core with a vivid purple hue. The nose is magical, displaying intense blueberries, pepper ham and warm toast. The palate shows luxurious cotton wool-like tannins, with a finish of sweet spice and wood smoke. The wine was aged for 17 months in 70% French oak and 30% American oak barrels.
